HIGH POWER CONTROLLER PLD8220-G3
PLD8220-G3 is a new generation controller for high power stepper motors (PL110-PL130 series). It was designed based on a modern, 32-bit digital signal processor ( DSP ), which allowed:
? use of ultra-precise control algorithms;
? high efficiency;
? providing communication options via a USB interface
? increasing damage resistance;
? increasing the sensitivity of the protection circuit;
? applying a larger division step (512);
? application of a new resonance suppression algorithm;
The integrated STEP signal generator makes starting significantly easier. The cooling system has been improved, which allowed to achieve longer break-free operation times at maximum load. Because this controller is powered by ~ 220V AC, the design does not require a large power source. The controller secondary power supply circuits are based on industrial, efficient transformers operating in the 50Hz band. This significantly improves the reliability of the controller and its resistance to interference.
PLD8220-G3 allows communication over protocols such as: STEP, DIR, ENABLE. All signal inputs are opto-isolated and compatible with logic levels: 2.5V, 3.3V, 5V. The use of the AUTO-SLEEP module allows for ergonomic management of the controller, it updates in the absence of STEP signal reading. The PLD8220-G3 controller is the optimal choice when working with the Purelogic series 2-phase, stepper, bipolar PL110 / PL130 series motors . However, the innovative approach has also enabled the control of engines from other brands.
