SCANNING AND NESTING SYSTEM DEDICATED TO SCAN + NEST ATMS LASER PLOTTERS
The software together with the control board and camera system - is designed to control the laser plotter, allows you to manage the entire process of scanning, placing elements on the working field and cutting the material. Work with the program is divided into several stages.
In the first stage, the processed material is scanned with a camera located above the working field of the device. The wide-angle camera with very high resolution ensures precise reading of the material contours placed in the whole working area. The camera is operated via a program from which the scanning process is started. After scanning, the workpiece outline appears on the screen in the work area.
The second stage of the machining process consists in matching the cut elements loaded into the program to the previously scanned shape. Elements can be matched in several ways. The first is the manual method where the operator manually places the cut shapes on the scanned material.
The second way is to automatically place elements on the workspace. This method allows the most optimal distribution of elements in order to minimize material loss (nesting). The most advanced mode of placing elements is the automatic method with an additional function that allows to bypass material defects (smart nesting). This makes it possible to take into account holes, stains and other material damage, and reduce the number of defective items cut out. This feature allows the operator to change material faster without having to cut manually to eliminate material defects. The choice of arrangement of elements is also set via the control software.
In the third stage of the machining process, previously prepared contours are displayed on the material and will be cut out. The projection function of the elements is not necessary in the cutting process, however it makes it easier to check if the arrangement of the elements has been made correctly.
In the last stage, the material is cut according to previously generated paths.
