The COBUS NEST software is used to optimize the production process by using the automatic function of arranging elements of any shape for cutting on the raw board for the best arrangement, minimizing waste and reducing manufacturing costs. Has the option to modify the process individually by the operator. Used for the automatic production of furniture fronts, upholstered furniture elements and other products, where waste minimization and maximum use of material are important.

The system is intuitive and fast, uses nesting libraries running in the background and uses efficient algorithms. The application allows you to import orders from the ERP / PPS system (data import in Excel format) or CAD in DXF format. The order consists of individual elements to be performed in the planned production process. The manufacturing process may include many processes, e.g. milling, sawing, drilling, including tool changes and machining parameters. Program
can group items from the order in terms of minimizing waste, but also by thickness or type of material by calculating the amount of material needed to complete the order. After approval or modification of the arrangement of elements, the NC code is generated for the machine. The code includes all necessary information regarding the processing of each element of the order. DXF files can be imported with automatic stitching, e.g. drilling, milling, into the project. You can also work on created templates (macros) and element libraries.
The program also allows you to generate reports, material notes and statistical assessments, and even manage waste by labeling and recording it for reuse. The program also gives the operator to simulate the process in the software before running the actual machining on the machine.

The machining program uses various types of optimization strategies such as:
Milling and sawing - used for individual elements carried out by milling edges, straight segments and arcs of the contours of the external elements, and then separating the elements with a saw. Optimization also applies to the tool and its rotation angle.
Common-line cutting - a function that reduces the time needed to finish a machining operation by a third compared to normal circular milling by cutting along a common pattern line
Cut milling - a function that bypasses the outer contour and performs cutting inside the plate / workpiece. The starting point is adapted to individual requirements.
Guillotine cutting - the function applies only to rectangular elements. It allows for intelligent sorting of elements and their quick cutting. Implemented on condition that the tool can make a rectangular cut.
