Softstarter PLZ007-G2 is a protective device in the control systems of CNC machines. It prevents the effects of sudden surges in current on the controller and the stepper. It is used for transformer power blocks and impulse blocks.

The PLZ007-G2 operating principle is based on effective limitation of inrush current. A dangerous situation for the whole system is the high value of the supply line current in the transformer coil. The principle of operation is simple: during the operation of pulsed power sources, the input capacity is charged and a high value current flow. To prevent damage to equipment connected to the power supply, current flows through the limiting resistor of the soft starter. After a second, the resistor is held by a relay, where the current begins to flow through a common low resistance wire.
