Advanced Technology Machine Solutions

In order to effectively and efficiently operate CNC machine tools, their operator must possess a variety of skills.

  • Understanding a particular machining technology: The operator must have a solid foundation in CNC technology, know how a particular machine tool works, what tools are used in a particular process and what machining capabilities it has.
  • Machine tool programming: The ability to program CNC machines is extremely important. The operator must know the appropriate programming language (G-code, M-code or others), or be proficient with  software dedicated to the machine or process.
  • Reading technical drawings: This is one of the key skills. The operator must have the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, understand machining requirements, accuracy and part dimensions to efficiently execute design intent.
  • Tool selection and work parameters: The operator must be knowledgeable about available tools and their applications. Equally important is the selection of appropriate machining parameters, such as feed rate, spindle speed and laser power.
  • .
  • Process monitoring: The operator must be able to monitor the machining process, check the quality of the work done and react to any problems or irregularities.
  • Troubleshooting: The ability to troubleshoot is crucial for a CNC machine operator. The operator must be able to identify and resolve technical problems, such as poor part surface finish or programming errors.
  • Safety and maintenance: The operator must follow safety rules when working with the CNC machine and be aware of the hazards of its operation. It is also very important to properly and regularly maintain the machine.

Additional, skills include the ability to work in a team and communicate with other employees. The operator should be ready to constantly improve his skills, keep abreast of technological innovations and adapt to changing production conditions. The combination of these competencies makes him an indispensable link in an efficient production process.
